Erin Keeton-Howard

Erin Keeton-Howard is a Seattle based music educator, musician, author, and composer. Currently serving as Director of Bands at The Northwest School, Erin has been teaching secondary instrumental music since 2009.  Dedicated to curating authentic and inclusive spaces in music education, Erin is active in community music and advocacy through her with Formation Wind Band and the book  “Women in Wind Band” released by GIA Publications in 2023. 

Erin began exploring her composition career in 2020 as a new way to engage with music during the pandemic. With a background in education, she is particularly passionate about writing quality music for developing musicians. Erin is published with Randall Standridge Music, MakeMusic Publications, Carl Fischer Music, and Murphy Music Press. Look and listen to her work at www.ekhmusic.com.

Erin resides in Mountlake Terrace, WA with her wife Felicia and her son Ezra. When not doing music, she enjoys time with  family, sudoku, large bodies of water, and coffee.

Managing Director

Elizabeth McDaniel 

Born and raised in southern California, Elizabeth attended UC Santa Barbara for a degree in Trombone performance and moved to Seattle to attend graduate school at University of Washington in 2014. Since graduating with her Masters degree in Trombone Performance, she has formed a successful private lessons studio, established a freelance career with local performing groups, and teaches with Bellevue Youth Symphony and in public and private schools. She is the Managing Director and a member of Puget Brass and performs regularly with Seattle-area orchestras, bands, and chamber groups. When not playing trombone, teaching, or attending to arts admin duties, Elizabeth can be found with a book and a cup of coffee. Elizabeth lives in Lynnwood with her husband, two kids, and dog named Xena.

Anne Kreider-Hughes

Anne is a musician and educator based in Seattle, WA. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Anne received her Masters in Teaching from the University of Puget Sound, with an emphasis in secondary instrumental music.

For sixteen years, Anne has enjoyed teaching middle school band and orchestra and is currently the Director of Instrumental Music at Voyager Middle School in the Mukilteo School District. As the former Artistic Director and Music Director of Seattle's Rainbow City Band, Anne has a passion for working with and empowering adult musicians within her community. She balances her time between her love for music and spending time with her wife, daughter and fur babies in the Lake City Neighborhood.
