​Formation Wind Symphony is a non-auditioned group. We want as many women who want to participate in Formation to have that opportunity! Registration for our Wind Symphony is open from August 1 - September 15. There are no section caps. Expect a registration confirmation email along with music links and other information to be sent on September 16. 

Wind Symphony Expectations:
  • grade 3-5 repertoire with individual preparation of music prior to rehearsal (comparable difficulty to previous cycles)
  • Open membership each cycle - no ongoing commitment. Join us for a cycle when you can!
  • No section caps!

This group will be by audition only.  Auditions are currently closed. Please join our email list and follow us on social media (@formationwindband) for the most up to date information on future openings and opportunities. 

Wind Ensemble Expectations:
  • grade 4-6 repertoire with individual preparation of music prior to rehearsal
  • limited instrumentation (see below)
  • ongoing membership every cycle. Members can miss 1 cycle and a sub will be arranged. In the event of 2 consecutive cycles out, the spot will move to someone else
  • travel to various event for performances (Ex: Midwest, WMEA) No more than 1-2 per year
